Applied Computing uses the practical application of computer principles, concepts and technologies to address real-world problems. Job titles and duties vary by industry or sector, but positions that require applied computing knowledge generally involve maintaining computer systems or developing computer software or applications. Your traditional career option is applied computing include network management, database administration, systems analysis, technical support engineering and software engineering.

The UK Degree Transfer Programme (Science) at UCSI College enables student to pursue the BSc (Hons) Applied Computing at Northumbria University on a 2+1 transfer arrangement. Upon successful completion of the UK Degree Transfer Programme (Science), students will transfer to the University for their final year.
Qualification Requirement
UCSI College Foundation Studies Pass with CGPA 2.00 and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level
IT-related Diploma Programmes Pass with CGPA 2.50 and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level
A-Levels Pass with at least Grade E in 2 subjects inclusive of Mathematics
SACE International Pass minimum 5 subjects with ATAR 60 inclusive of 60% score in Mathematics and a credit in Mathematics at SPM Level
CPU (Ontario Secondary School Diploma) Pass with minimum 6 subjects with an average score of 60% inclusive of 60% score in Mathematics and a credit in Mathematics at SPM Level
STPM Pass with Grade C (GP 2.0) in any 2 subjects and a credit in Mathematics at SPM Level
International Baccalaureate (IB) Pass with 26 points in 6 subjects and a credit in Mathematics at SPM Level
Any equivalent qualification recognized by the Malaysian government


International students are also required to achieve a minimum score of 5.0 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or minimum score of 410 for Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or any equivalent qualification.
